ABOUT PRICE

& BUCKLAND

OUR HERITAGE

In 1959 our father decided to start making corporate and school uniforms that employees and pupils would love to wear. Starting from a small factory in Nottingham in UK, production began.

We’re still the same family run company today, with the same simple ethos and passion. Here at Price & Buckland, we want your ultimate customer to look good and feel great, ensuring they can embrace the day ahead.

Since 1959, we have designed and manufactured high quality schoolwear, corporatewear and fashionwear for some of the world’s leading schools, companies and high street brands.

Based on the outskirts of Delhi and partnered with Price and Buckland UK, we have a wealth of experience in providing excellent customer service and exceptionally high quality garments.

DIRECTORS MESSAGE

Nick Buckland

Nick Buckland

Director, Price & Buckland UK Ltd.

I take great pride in being part of a family business that is fast approaching its 70th anniversary. The business has been through many changes since it was established by our father in 1959 and we continue to evolve and change in response to our customers and to the opportunities offered by new technology.

Together with my brother, Anthony and long standing colleagues in Noida,, we care passionately about what we do and together with all colleagues from across the business, we’re very proud to be a truly global supplier. From our new manufacturing base here in India, we are now distributing garments in Europe, India, Africa as well as Canada and the USA. We believe in always putting the customer first and we work tirelessly to manufacture and supply high quality garments, that are value for money and supported by a service that is second to none. This ambition is only made possible by working with an amazing group of dedicated people who share the same ambition and belief.

Director, Price & Buckland UK Ltd.

I believe that it has been by maintaining our strong family values that Price & Buckland has grown into a successful global schoolwear brand. We care about the people we work with, we care about the quality of what we produce and we care about our customers. There is an overriding passion within Price & Buckland and a dedication that runs throughout the business to design, manufacture and deliver superb quality and value to our schools and parents, wherever they may be in the world. By putting our customers first and working together as one team, we can exceed our customers’ expectations and offer solutions that are unique and truly exceptional.

Social Responsibilty

In 2010, we opened a brand new 50,000 square foot factory in response to an overwhelming increase in orders. This latest addition to the growing Price & Buckland business secures over 500 jobs and also maintains rigorous high quality standards, an efficient supply chain and vast improvements to our delivery service.

Based in a busy economic area with a thriving textile industry, the new factory has allowed us to significantly enhance the reliability and continuity of our colours, sizing and fabric quality; which in turn has improved our flexibility and cost control. Because of this our customers have confidence that our garments will meet, if not exceed, their expectations every time they order from us.

Having our own factory means that we are able to adapt to the needs of our customers without ever compromising on the quality or the look of the garment that is required. By using the most efficient production techniques and the best fabrics on the market, we are able to drive down the cost to a price that remains consistently competitive.

We have a production capacity of over 100,000 pieces every month and we are able to manufacture knitted or woven schoolwear, corporatewear and fashionwear, as well as custom accessories for a fully coordinated uniform range.

Through every stage of garment design and production, to the quality of our packaging and delivery service, you won’t find a better supplier.

Bespoke Design Service

Whether we are working on a CMT basis or producing fully factored garments, we are happy to work with customer’s own design teams or our in-house design team can help produce initial concepts. Our sampling department is on hand to create prototypes and produce grading samples.

Eco Garments

Since 2020 our school blazers and jackets for the UK market have all been manufactured using recycled fabric and we are looking at introducing more recycled fabrics into other lines. Our eco garments are made from recycled bottles and are as durable and as high quality as our non-eco garments. Every eco garment we create helps retailers, schools, parents, and their children make a positive difference to the environment. So far, we have utilised 802,000 bottles, which is equivalent to around 8 Olympic swimming pools.

SEDEX / SMETA

Sedex is a global membership organisation dedicated to driving improvements in ethical and responsible business practices in global supply chains. SMETA is the audit procedure created by Sedex and is a compilation of good practice in ethical audit techniques designed to help auditors conduct high quality reviews of business practices. Our 2-Pillar audits MAINLY covers Labour Standards as well as Health & Safety measures.

Supporting Charity

We’re always looking at ways we can make a real difference. That’s why we donate to a range of worthy charities and hold several fundraising events throughout the year.

We are a proud partner with Sharewear and Good for Goods. Sharewear provide emergency clothing, shoes and bedding to people in the UK. Goods for Good offer global humanitarian aid by transporting donations such as industry overstock from generous partners to help communities in need.
